Acrylic Painting
I have dabbled in various mediums over the past 20 years; watercolor painting, black and white photography, polaroid transfer, acrylic abstract painting, collage, gelli print mixed media and encaustic wax painting. I love learning and have always wanted to take every class I could get my hands on. I believe that to keep things fresh you have to try different modes of expression and there are a lot of great mediums out there right now to explore!
Work is created in a mostly abstract format playing with the compositions and color combinations that inspire me. Much of my inspiration comes from objects that most people walk by without a second glance; a peeling wall, a rusty steel boat hull, the streaks of color peeling from various objects, blurry compositions of color in the background of TV shows, movies, and other digital images.
